Who we are

Meridian Express Co., Ltd. operates this website. This notice explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) ("PDPA").

Information you give us

When you submit the contact form or sign up for our newsletter, we collect what you type into it:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your telephone number, if you provide one
• The message you write
• The language version of the site you used

Why we use it, and on what basis

We use contact details to answer your enquiry and to provide the freight services you ask about. The lawful basis is the performance of, or steps towards, a contract with you (PDPA section 24(3)).

Newsletter sign-ups are processed on the basis of your consent, which you may withdraw at any time by replying to any message we send you.

Website statistics

We measure how the website is used so we can improve it. This is deliberately limited:

• We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not build profiles of individuals.
• If you accept, we store a single random visitor reference on your device so that returning to the site is counted once rather than once per page. It contains nothing about you and is not shared. If you decline, or later change your mind, that reference is deleted and none is created.
• We filter out automated traffic - crawlers, scanners and monitoring services - so the figures reflect people rather than machines.
• We record the page address, the site that referred you, and whether you are on a desktop, tablet or phone.
• Your IP address is used to determine the country and city you are browsing from. We do not store the IP address itself alongside our statistics.
• If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal, we collect nothing at all.

Who processes this data for us

Website statistics are processed on our behalf by PostHog, using servers in the European Union. Enquiries you submit are stored on our own server in Thailand and are not shared with any third party.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with them and to meet our accounting and tax obligations. Website statistics are kept in aggregate form - counts per day, page and country - which cannot be traced back to an individual.

Your rights

Under the PDPA you may ask us to give you a copy of your personal data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or transfer it to another provider. You may also withdraw any consent you have given. Exercising these rights is free, and we will respond within 30 days.

If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you may complain to the Personal Data Protection Committee.
